Our Story
One family, three generations of winemaking
Tucked into a quiet street on the slopes of Badacsony, Szabó Családi Pincészet looks out over a stunning panorama of the surrounding hills and vineyard rows. This is where our wines begin their journey, straight to you.
The winery is run by the Szabó brothers, Attila and Péter, who have been growing grapes and making wine for nearly a decade and a half. Respect for the craft and a love of nature are a family inheritance: the example set by their father and grandfather laid the foundation for the approach that still guides the estate today.
Our first vineyard was planted in Balatonakali, in the Balatonfüred–Csopak wine region, and from the 1990s onward we expanded further into the Badacsony wine region, where most of our land is located today. Our goal is simple: to make quality wines and bring them directly into wine lovers' homes.
